Pure. Unblemished. Untainted by the coldness of the negative that too often clouds the vision of the world, a world in search of a warming light upon the face of the all- deserving that is each in our unfolding. As the ticos would remind, here, within the joy of nature’s version of Disneyland, we experienced pure life––pura vida! And, we knew love better through its compatriot of higher expression––joy.

Cassandra and I expressed our free selves in a manner that we knew not before with one another. I moved over her. Our bodies glistened from the sweat forged from ourembrace, and that with the jungle itself. I could feel her body arch as my hand moved to her lower back, ensuring no separation between my chest and her own. Her neck beckoned my lips closer. Her toned legs engulfed me in entirety. I took her, from her lips to her lips. I made certain there was nothing left for the wanting. She made certain I would be left wanting more.

Our love flowed––freely––each movement divulging an inner form of sacredness not of this world. Yet here we were, in this world, with our souls allowed to take over and lead us where mere minds could not.

Cassandra and I experienced the highest vibration through the orchestration of a love thread through the many realms available in human form. With each kiss, each canvassed pass along the many curvatures that made her all woman, each embrace of the eyes that dared deeper their travels, we explored all of what was availed on a steamy evening in the middle of nowhere––the center of everywhere.

I lay upon her, balancing the weight of a man nearly twice her own. Beads of sweat made their way from my face to the many destinations to be visited, revisited and then again through the hours of our travels––the timeless- ness of soul. This was not a love shared merely in the physical but one that traversed all layers of light and found a suitable expression in this, the one plane where we may truly know it all. In these moments, there are:

Two bodies, but only one motion…

Two egos, but only one motive…
Two souls, but only the One consciousness.
For it appears it is only in the purity of the loving that

we find ourselves in a higher presence, and no other. In these moments, the loving energy of the universe is channeled through the next kiss, the next fluid motion of one with the other. A kiss. His kiss. Vetted through the chambers of the divine.

I was lost once again.
This time, I had no intention to be found.

About the Book

The Longest Distance 215Title: The Longest Distance

Author: David Scott

Genre: Spirituality, Self-Help, Inspiration and Personal Growth, Literary Fiction

Part love story, part adventure mystery, part travel guide for the soul, The Longest Distance is a meditation in traveling from our heads to our hearts, and an awakening to what lies within.

Shaken by tragedy in the wilds of Africa, Jeremy Braddock sets off in search of the answers to our questions about life, truth, and the all-too-trying-yet-wonderful emotion of love. From Kenya to Costa Rica – and a host of other venues along the way – the protagonist takes us on a rollercoaster ride and riveting journey that reveals to us the masters, the maniacal beauty of this planet, and the greatest mystery of all––the ‘one thing’ we came here to know. As with life itself, he is not alone in this adventure, with the many supporting characters providing him with mirrored reflections of love in its varied forms, and a windowed view into his soul. Armed with his wit, his will, and an ample dose of healthy humility, our vigilant warrior attempts to summon within himself the courage we must all find to see the face of Truth, and walk the path of a higher Love.

The Longest Distance evokes deeper contemplation à la Eat, Pray, Love with a level of discourse and discovery that will resonate with those who have been touched by the writings of Paulo Coehlo and Neale Donald Walsch. Interwoven within the tapestry of the novel and in between each storied tale is an uplifting dialogue with Jeremy’s higher self — the Friend that points the way. What adds to TLD’s universal appeal is the inspirational guest appearances of a myriad of Masters – from poets to statesmen to those of the cloth – along with each chapter’s unveiling of a key ‘quality’ that, when pieced together, helps to reveal the greater picture at hand — the Love within the love that beckons us home.

The Longest Distance is a sleuth of spirit and treasure hunt of the heart that awakens our soul and provides yet another clue for the curious, a jewel for the romanticist in us all.
